We were very close friends. I talked to him when he sold his Dad's GTX. Then he went off radar. I wondered if it was something I said?? Very doubtful, but who knows.

Seems to me we should be uber protective of this joint and proactive in keeping things going
positively as long as humanly possible.
This site is more than a mere virtual gathering spot - there is genuine archival information being
not only shared but actually put to practical use in regards to our specific neck of the auto enthusiast
woods.
In other words, this effort, this site is bigger than any petty bickering or personality clashes.

If someone wanders in and proves a repeated intentionally disruptive, negative force - then by all means,
his *** needs to meet the curb posthaste.
There have been a few of those - and honestly, there are a couple potential ones now - and it took an act
of congress to rid the place of them, but we're imminently better off from their departure.

I think most of us want to help the effort and pitch in to help the place, though. I know I do.

When a car is restored to that level, what do you do with it when it's done? You cannot really drive it,driving it would surely deteriorate all that amazing detail work he performed on the car.

That's a question That is still debated. There are those who appreciate the art and past culture of a near perfect restoration. And those who prefer the driver experience of classic car ownership. And even those who prefer to explore performance upgrades. Like myself, who only target vehicles that restoration to original build is not reasonably feasible. These differences only strengthen the market. Car's that are solid contenders of red carpet level restorations? All the way down to car's that are really best suited for a race build. With plenty of room in between.
