I've owned my GTX essentially forever. Hope to decide in the coming months whether Iwill keep her and get her back on the road or sell / trade for a toy I can use. I'll look for a place the proper forum on the site to post details.

The only train of thought is if you have your heart in it to restore it. If not, sell it, or swap it for something that will quicken your pulse.
 
hmmmm .... YY1 I didn't think this was the correct forum, but ok

1969 GTX Hemi 4 speed. 12,000 miles, been in storage literally 50 years. Bought 52 years ago from Plymouth dealer on Chagrin Blvd in Beachwood.

Went away to school, tried to sell her in the early 70's, obviously kept her. Try to sell just the motor to put something economical in while in school, fortunately no takers. Almost traded motor for a Triumph but I wanted a Bonneville and person had a single carb (Cub or Tiger??? ) and would not add $75 to the trade.

I always planned on getting the GTX home and pampering her. Life, marriage, children, job etc etc always seemed to get in the way. Now long since retired and want to finally "fish or cut bait"

If I got rid of the GTX a Demon, ZR1 or shudder a Tesla would be a fun toy to enjoy with little maintenance required but also no memories either.
 
Welcome from another GTX guy (test drove a new '69 back in the day, and have never been the same) from Pennsylvania. Tried the late model thing, and it didn't work for me. Karma - my old '68 from the 80s came back to me. Your story is too good not to get that unicorn back on the road.
 
I'm almost 70. I still like toys. I'm sure I would make more use of a modern toy, but it just wouldn't seem right to get rid of the 69. Even though I haven't done anything with it, I know it is there. Irrational, but I think I would miss it if gone and possibly even resent the new toy that would take the place.

So what's the condition? Being in storage for 50 years I'd assume it's pretty damn nice? If so.... with the body and paint in good shape it should be a no brainer. Body and paint is where the serious $$$ comes in, the rest for most of us is the fun part lol.
