Hello, so I was wandering if the front of the car is removable to where I can just lift this motor out of my 73 charger it’s a 318 take a look at this video and let me know if this part is removable

not unless you chop it out or drill spotwelds. your engine will come out with that in place.

Will it come out with the trans?
Yes, if you have the car lifted up a bit so the tail of the transmission can move down enough (and, of course, you have a cherry picker). It takes a couple of people to do this safely.

Yes if you tilt the engine up and the trans down (relatively drastically), many people have done this many times to include myself.

Do you see any bolts holding the radiator support in place? No? It's welded in place. You should be able to pull the combo out anyway. Take that distributor out first. One of those adjustable angle engine attachment devices would be worth renting/buying for this task.

Or you can drop both out the bottom along with the K frame, thats how the factory put them in and to be honest I think it is probably easier. Takes a little more planning but the result is better.

Doing it this way allows you to change out the most likely rotted original K-frame mounting bushings too. PB Blaster is your friend if you go this route.......

Get this https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g1021 load leveler, saves effort and scratching up tunnel.

Great help in tilting engine to get combo out together. Otherwise you have to put a lot of weight on tranny tailshaft, easy to get pinched, also have seen windshield cracked from getting up and using a foot to push tranny down.

Also pick up tranny tail shaft plug to try to reduce the mess.

If you have an automatic drain ALL the fluid out first.....or you will make a big mess......YES, what he said above.....

Trans will leak fluid out tail shaft if tilted down. A spare yoke works well drain trans or devise something else.

Yeah I usually put a plastic bag or sometimes get a pringles chip cap and hot glue it on but I have never tooken out a motor with the trans in it

Like others have noted, it will require tilting the whole she-bang out at an OBSCENE angle,
but folks been doing it for decades now, myself included.
Did the last one by myself....
Don't do that.

Yes you can pull both out. I did on my 73 Charger. Just jacked up the car a few inches for extra clearance and they came out with no problem.

If you're gonna do one at a time and not together, on '73's, it's easier to do the engine first because of the 'extra' crossmember for the torsion bars.
As several have mentioned. It is easier if? What are you wanting to do? If you want to change the big K member bushings, yes out the bottom. If you have good bushings, out the top. I found that pulling the engine without the trans is very easy. I did it to a 73 Satellite by myself, (I was 69 years old when I did it), and did not even take the hood off. I also put a 400 BB stroker with 727 together in a 76 Dodge Aspen, again by myself. With the hood on. Now that was a drastic angle. Just used a floor jack to put the end of the Trans on when I got it close so the trans would move easy without my help. Just take your time, constantly look for clearances and possible scratches.
