Trophy reunited

My good friend Bob Carlson helped me restore and find the original driveline for both of these beasts. Bob won this trophy racing the Belvedere at Hustler’s Dragway and he just graciously reunited the trophy with the car.
Hustler’s Dragway was in Glendive , MT. It opened in the 50 s and closed in the late 70s. The Belvedere ran in one of the last races held at this drag strip.

I purchased the Belvedere in 2007 and did a full restoration, the engine that was in it belonged to the 71 Roadrunner on the top of the lift. Bob not only sold me the Roadrunner but he helped me to find the original engine for the 66.

Went to Glendive in 1970, one of the memorable cars was a Corvette funny car using a Hemi.
