About to purchase the fuel tank and sending unit for the RR and was just checking to see if anyone has had experience or issues with the brands DYI Solutions or AM Auto Parts. I know they are bottom of the line but they only have one job to do and every now and then they actually do the job quite well.

I'm using one from right stuff detailing on my 68 coronet with zero issues. Good luck with sending units though, thats the worst part of that puzzle. Mine doesn't read right and I have yet to pull it back out the try and tweak the arm. I got spoiled with direct line of sight inside the tank through the filler neck !

I have a Quanta in my Roadrunner with no issues. Gauge is a bit off but most are unless you tweak them. I just fill it when it says close to empty as its about a 1/16th of a tank off or so. I changed it in the Carlisle parking lot in my trailer as my strap poked a hole in my original....but that's a story for another time.

I bought one from Tanks Inc. The tanks are usually good it's the senders that don't work right. Oh and the gaskets and lock rings. Keep your old ones. you might need them.

Spectra made in Canada They make a fully galvanized tank Not the painted junk that starts rusting as soon as you put gas in it! You get what you pay for!!!

I bought two tanks from vans. I'm liking stainless steel! Less corrosion worries inside and out.

Yeah, I bought a Stainless steel tank about ten years ago. Haven't put
it on the car yet but hoping the rusting part stays away! Wish the whole
car was stainless!!!!
