would like to know the pros and cons of running a Milodon external oiling system I have the stationary pick up but have a deal for the swing arm also suggestions and insite thanked

For racing I would defiantly run the external with the swinging pick up.
What kind of pan are you running?

I just did the modification on my 440 where yo enlarge the oil pickup threads to
1/2" and then the galley from the threads to the pump to 11/16" per the Mopar
engines manual. It's kind of a P.I.T.A. to do but is well worth it because all the added
cost and the pump clearance to the K-Frame. Also the AN hose and hole in the side
of the pan are all places for a leak. I guess if you're not planning on taking the engine
out, and you've got a great deal on the setup then go for it! If you are going to ace
the car, you need to make sure the engine gets enough oil. If not, you don't need it!

In my tube Arrow with a dragster style pan & kick out used a Milodon alum pump/swing pickup dual line system. It was great. My current system in my '66 Satellite I have a Milodon road race external pickup with the Milodon cover on a Melling pump body. Works really great. Suction line routing could be a little tricky.

I have both the single line pickup and the dual swinging im leaning on using the dual pick up

Have the dual for over 25 years. Street/strip,hit the pan one time when I had a flat tire.

I have the dual line system with the swing pick up and 10 quart flat bottom dragster/f.c. oil pan and 3 quart Accusump. No shortage of lubrication. No issues street or strip.
