1969 GTX....The T stands for tetanus

I don't any experience with DOT slicks yet, but have heard the only drawback is driving in the rain is sketchy. But you probably don't get much there. What is the advertised hardness of your Coopers?

I don't know the specs on either tire. But the Nitto is much harder to break loose on the street. I pulled them off because of the cold and rain we had this winter. More rain than I'm use to plus I heard the compound gets hard when cold .

Driving and enjoying it. :) Last thing I did was add in a deep pan for the 727. B&M. Very nice piece. Also added in a baffle on the valve cover under the pcv valve. The last oil change looked good according to Blackstone Labs. It needs a wash though. Starting to look like a barn find with all the dust lol.

Tim, I see you are back at it on your X. Can't wait to see it on the road!

Good to hear. The tranny pan will make servicing a breeze. I see it had a plug for a temp gauge?

It does. I'm not sure if I really need one. I have a cooler installed and have not had issues with the transmission.
 
I was following your thread from when you started it and haven’t been back on here for a while. Your car cane out awesome! Love the color and wheels!
 
Messing around with getting rid of a lean spot at part throttle so I swapped jets from .104" to .107". The rods in my kit didn't include any close to the 6552 rods I have in there. And I swapped the step up springs from orange to yellow to get them to pop up a little sooner. Colder weather is most likely the cause.

And I ordered a new throttle cable from Mancini. The one I was using was 18" and was causing a tight spot. Swapped to a 14" and it fits pretty good. I had to modify my throttle cable/trans accelerator cable mounting plate so I cut it and welded it back closer to the firewall. Works pretty slick.

And she now has a Holley Sniper EFI. One day to install and it was up and running. Not an easy install but a pretty fun one.

Damn fine job. When ya do drive it for the first time, take it easy. Drive in town, let the computer learn what the car is doing. After you’ve got a few miles on it, start driving more aggressively. It’ll learn and you’ll be happy.

Thanks! Maiden voyage was last night to pick up food with the wife. Didn't go crazy with it and it acted nice. Throttle is touchy but I can get use to it. There is a rod that I can buy that opens the "secondaries" later for a progressive throttle.

So far I love it. The handheld screen is great and shows what's going on with the car.
 
With efi, don’t get progressive with the butterflies. You want them to open at the same time. You don’t have a Quadrajet!
 
And I welded up my own bracket with the correct throw for throttle and trans. (I cut off the square section before mounting it).
