It's a Blizzard!

Cold stinks you can keep it! Lol be safe and enjoy it... make sure you have plenty of antifreeze!:D:D

Many years ago my Aunt and Uncle went to a Policemans convention up in the mountains, somewhere around NC and Tenn. I'm positive it was in the Smokies. A storm blew in and dumped a massive amount of snow, stranded them there for over a week. I remember them telling my parents about it when we were visiting one year. Folks down there always have endless storys to tell. I miss that area.
Folks around here have a penchant towards storytellin', you say?
Wouldn't know anything about that....

7" so far & it's supposed to wind down later this afternoon. Was 32 degrees here an hour ago & now it's dropped to 26. We'll easily get a foot out of this storm.

We have about 6-8" so far overnight and it's coming down pretty hard right now. Took the dog for an emptying and he was happy about the snow, me...not so much. Everything's so quiet outdoors. Like that. This is the first "real" snow this winter around here. The ski slope owners will be happy.

We had 14" of lake effect in Northeast Ohio Dec. 1st or 2nd it was wet and heavy, it all melted and now we are the lucky ones, just a dusting to 2-3" Sadly No Ski slopes opened, not sure if any are opening in Ohio

My daughter tells me she had 2 feet overnight southeast of Ithaca and I saw on the news this morning over 40" near Binghamton.
That's a good shot of snow.
At least the ground was frozen here and the snow is nice and fluffy makes a big difference.

I’m from Allentown. Had no idea where Hanover, Pa is. Cause it’s in the middle of nowhere. Never heard of it. I did drive 83 one time in the 80’s.

i take it back. Just remembered that the Utz Pretzels come from Hanover. Hanover is ok.

We got about 10-12 so far around here. This blows. Should be fun working tonight. NOT, lol

Just a dusting here in Michigan the older I get the more I hate the snow. Good thing I'm retired I don't have to put up with those drives in the morning or evening commute.

Things have calmed down a bit. Still snowing, I'd say we have 9-10".

We are in a storm right now. It's alternating between snow and rain. But even at 5000 feet elevation, just a few blocks away the mountains are getting dumped on. That would be the Eastern slope of the Sierras and the Nevada Pevines. I looked on CalTrans web site for the road conditions and cameras along I-80 West to Sacramento and the Donner area is getting dumped on really good. Chains are required also. That is good news for all the dry we have had here in the West and hopefully will provide more for the up coming year. Still even though I grew up in Illinois with it and don't really miss it, I kind of enjoy it because of where I now live. Stay safe and happy snow blowing and plowing/shoveling...:thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:
