I have a 64' Polara that i bought as a roller, it was someones old race car so some parts have gone missing and some things on the car are a little bit of a mystery. The car came to me with only race seats, black carpet and a white perforated vinyl headliner. the fender tags is gone so i'm not worried about what the car was born with but just want to get this one back on the road. I decided to change the original aqua paint to medium turquoise and purchased Polara 500 med. turq. seat covers and door panels from Legendary . I'm at the point that i need think about doing the headliner and realized that Legendary doesn't sell a turquoise headliner. I have found and ordered some color samples from "stock interiors" and "topsonline". they don't have a double perforated vinyl headliner but carry a "Diamond tier grain" turquoise vinyl headliner. So my question is have any of you guys dealt with either of these two companies or perhaps know of some other options that may be available?

I offered this up to another Member recently, so I still had the pic. Try
SMS, up in Canby, OR. They will make your headliner, with original materials. The one pictured is for my '65 Coronet Sedan. They may even have a Holiday Sale on now ? You will need to come up with the bows for it too...

I just got my 1965 Coronet hardtop headliner from www.newstalgiaparts.com. It's identical to my original off-white vinyl one. Cost $114.00. It shipped from California and came pretty quick. They have an east coast office. I also order a red carpet from them. Check their web site for your color.

Thanks for the replies, I knew i was going to have to dye ( got that from Kolor Korrect) the console top, door arm rests and kick panels as those items are not supported by the aftermarket in certain colors such as mine. I never even thought for a minute that Legendary wouldn't carry a matching color headliner for their seat covers and door panels. I do have the bows so that is a start i guess. VANDAN how long did it take to get yours from SMS?

I have been dealing with Lacy Huber from Legendary about getting a gray headliner for my 65 and she hooked my up with a GTO color. I would imagine they could make something up if they have the right color and she sent me a sample to. Nice gal!

I think I picked the one color that nobody has in a perforated vinyl, lol. I'll call SMS and if they don't have it i'm going to have to be ok with the Diamond tier grain style.

They're usually Good on the pre-made items. I can't say the same for ordered items. I've been waiting 4+ YEARS for my Door Panels...

I'm going to give them a call tomorrow, I was told today by my local interior guy that they would more than likely be the only ones who may have some. Never thought i would have this problem, turquoise was pretty popular in the early to mid sixties.

Dan64 Why not get a white headliner in the correct pattern? You could get a vinyl dye to match your interior! Just a suggestion!

I thought about that also, i actually have the dye but have not sprayed any yet. Not sure how it would look on that much real estate?.

Hey Dan64, mention my name, and tell them after 4yrs, He's still reccomending them. Maybe My Door Panels will show up some day......
