My dad still got the mopar bug I know this is an a body but cool thing, dad is 83 and going for it. 1967 barracuda formula s 273 4spd and he's excited about the 2x4 offy intake! He has a 71 dart but he had me list it on a bodies to help fund his new ride.

Very cool!

These classic cars have no age barrier - young or old!

I wish him good luck with the build and burning the tires off of it!!!

Awesome! I mean the car itself AND your dad's continued passion for old Mopars. That's what will keep him "young". I love late-60's fish too.

Just goes to show you that the Love for Mopars has no boundaries. Good for him! 440'

My most sincere congratulations and admiration for the greatest generation ever!

enjoy the time with your dad ,life is short. Hope I will be doing that at his age.

the pic of him giving the thumbs up next to the dual quad is priceless. definitely put a smile on my face

Yeah I agree with everyone else. I smiled too when I read your post and saw the pic. What a gift that pops is still burning for a project Mopar at his young age. I wish him Gods speed on it and enjoying the process. He’ll probably live to be 103... or more

Yeah it makes me feel good about his outlook on life, he's talked about the 2x4 offy intake ever since we looked at the car!

83....... I like this guy  When most guys are lucky to be in a rockin chair. He's getting ready to build a car :luvplace:

well things are going well picked up a set of factory pistons and rods for his new ride and sold his 71 dart today for $3200 instead of what some were saying was a parts car anyway. Now we have some funds to get his hughes cam kit and some body panels.

Your dad rocks! Thanks for sharing this and best of luck with the project.

That's just awesome, right there. :)
God willing we should all get to that age and still have that drive!
Thanks for sharing - and listen here, spend all the time you possibly can
with dad. You'll regret it later if you don't, trust me.

Wow!
Gives me incentive! And I am younger. This year is going by fast, so goal is to have it on the road spring of 2001. Have got caught up in doing things that no one will ever see, but I know that they will work for another 50 years.

I'm on board with 440 4 speed. But I remember going south in 2001 for awards but we're looking ahead to 2021! Get the dash in we'll see you Saturday!

Well a lot has happened since I started this, dad developed a blood clot in his leg and he said that his foot was hurting, never mind it was turning purple, never mentions that, well long story short had to have a new artery put in from his groin to his ankle. Surgeon thought he was going to have to get his leg amputated from above his knee down! Well he did great and after about two weeks in the hospital and then 4 weeks rehab learning to walk again he's back to normal. He just had his car picked up by his painter! Yes!

You go dad! I can only hope I’m still working on cars and my son is showing his pride in me like you do!
