I tried to look through some of the forums but couldn’t find anything on this. Who sells the best quality rear stripe and bumblebee emblem for a 69 super bee?

The correct one is now gone unfortunately with David's passing. Maybe Phoenix has stepped up and corrected their incorrectly orientated Bee positioning.

What does the ‘correct’ one look like, and also maybe an example of an incorrect one? I don’t have a bee but like to occupy what little remaining gray matter I have left with info like this.

I’ve read quite a few different articles and forums about the stripes. I’d be curious to what the incorrect one looks like. From what I’ve read even from the factory they were not centered over the side marker lights and there were slight imperfections and how they were put on. I think if you put one on to perfect it would be incorrect

As I said, it's not the positioning of the stripe, it's the orientation of the Bee itself and it's placement in the stripe. Read Joel's thread. He actually peeled a Phoenix off his fresh paint and installed a Performance Graphics (which you now can't get) instead.

This 68 Stripe came from Phoenix Graphics. Correct or incorrect?

That one's better than what Joel got, but still clocked too far CCW compared to OE. This is my PCG on the passenger side..

I can definitely see the rotation of the B is different. The one from dad’sbee is more level. I’ve worked with graphics before. With this set is it possible to cut that round section out while the backing is still on and rotate it? Seems like you should be able to get it all lined up lay the stripe down and then take the separate B section, turn it slightly and then insert it. Especially if using the “wet“ technique. I placed some large circular decals on an old Volkswagen bug. I was able to slide a decal slightly larger than a pizza pan around on the door until it was perfect.

The pic of the F8 green car above is a good photo showing how far the clocking is off on the "SUPER BEE" circle in a Phoenix Graphic rump stripe. If you look at this stripe on other cars, it is easy to see which ones are from them compared to the correct orientation of the Performance Car Graphic model. I believe most people didn't know how it was supposed to be......
Phoenix Graphics is a advertiser here, maybe they will chime in.

I just remembered I cut off the rear part of my drivers quarter panel and kept it. I am almost 100% sure this is the original stripe. It’s interesting how far above the indicator it is and how far above the body line the bees helmet is.

Remember, human beings installed these stripes by hand. No 2 are the same. You are correct, your Bee is applied high in comparison to others. The real oddity is the stripe is centered around the reflector. Hardly ever happened.

I know this stripe is correct because this original numbers matching A12 car belongs to "Super Bee Bill" from Temecula, CA. ;)
