Time for a show lets see the 71-74's

I bought it from (I believe) the first owner, back in '92. Factory 318/904, with a 3.23SG 489 case 8-3/4" rear, 26" radiator, power steering, and power front disc brakes. No a/c, no roof rack, manual windows and locks. Has the rear spoiler, has front fender turn signal indicators, has the 2-way tailgate with the manual roll-down window. Drove the hell out of it in college - it was our road trip car, and made MANY trips from Maryland to Key West, fully loaded with people and luggage. Wiped the cam at some point, put in a 340 cam. Cooked the 904, shortened the driveshaft and put in a 727. Got my first "real" job, bought a house, and celebrated with a Mopar Performance 360/380 crate motor, headers, AVS carburetor, Holley "blue" pump, Mopar Performance SS/D rear leaf springs, a 2,400 stall converter and a reverse/manual valve body. 1.60 60' times all day long, mid-low 13 second ETs (pretty consistent 13.40s on pump gas and street tires).

The front bench fell apart decades ago so I scrapped it (REGRET!!!!!) and put Charger buckets in that were white. I vinyl painted the back seat white to match. The sides have dings, rust that's been filled, molding that was removed...so it got primed from the windows down. Top and hood are original F8 Sherwood Green paint. The tail stripe was a college thing, figured I'd dress up the "family car" a bit.

The crate motor and hot 727 are long gone, currently it has a "normal" LA 360 4bbl, and a standard 727 in it with OEM steel exhaust manifolds and a dual exhaust. But, it is sitting next to a 2005 5.7 EFI Hemi (Gen III), that'll get installed someday. The current wheels are Ridler 17's that I picked up at Carlisle a few years ago. The fuel tank (mounted in the quarter, behind the drivers rear wheel) has so many pinholes in it that I just bought a brand new (maybe THE last?) OEM fuel tank for it this past summer that is going to get installed this winter.

The truly funny part? The dealer sticker on the tailgate is from Winebrenner Motors in Highfield-Cascade, Maryland. I never really focused on it, but it was neat to have the original sticker still on it (and I'll have to get it either reproduced, or masked off, if I ever get the car painted - the dealer itself is long-gone). In 2011, I was shopping for houses and bought the place I live in now, beautiful stone home with a huge garage-mahal with workshop and parts storage space. About 2017 or 2018, I pulled the wagon out of storage in the back corner of the garage, put the new wheels on it and cleaned it up (the photos with the gray primer on the sides), and looked at that dealer sticker again. That was when I realized...I brought the car home.

My new house is in Cascade, Maryland!!

I just love having a "midsize" wagon that can carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood with the back seat folded, and the tailgate closed! You can barely find a pickup truck that can do that these days!!

Agreed triple green. When our 99 1500 died we decided to buy a first gen Pacifica. While the vehicle was loaded with options, hauling anything, forget it.
I have gotten to the place where I enjoy seeing anything that there isn't thousands of out there. Wagons, C bodys all interest me.

Yep, I've loved my wagon for going on 30 years now...but I am thrilled to finally have gotten my 70 Charger (going on 18 days now!). It's my one "mainstream" toy vehicle and I tell ya...it's nice being able to get parts for it compared to the wagon! The rest of the stuff is kinda oddball...86 Omni GLHS, 90 Voyager minivan factory turbo, 91 Daytona turbo, 01 Ram 2500 Cummins, and five Buell motorcycles. Parts acquisition for any of those is...interesting. Although, the gen2 Ram is starting to see a lot more support these days.

Mainstream is boring. My '14 Grand Cherokee is even "unusual" in that I have the Ecodiesel engine...but for a "mainstream SUV", I do love it. Comfy, quiet, highly optioned, efficient, dead-nuts reliable...it's my "grown-up" car!

Except that I counted wrong. It was originally a 6 passenger (not a 9 passenger - no third row seat) but now that I've put buckets into it, it's a 5 passenger.

Unless I can count bodies stacked in the trunk? 3 can lay across comfortably....

This section does say 71'-74' Mopars. Do Sea Bodies count? Here is my 74 New Yorker with a mild cam and a 175 shot just in case I am running late for work.....

Yes you are correct. Digging your "C" Body!!!
