383 vs 440 exhaust sound

Hmm a set of mufflers can change them both but I’ll say this the both have that distinctive mopar sound... I like em both!

Same heads, similar pistons, headers or cast They should
sound exactly the same. Something's different.

Both music to the ears! What rear gears does it have?

I like them both, different sounds, but both sound great !

Yeh, they both sound nice ,
Flowmasters ?

Not sure about these two BUT ... my 69 RR did not come with resonators which would have some effect on the sound.

Let me offer this for consideration ... they're the SAME car.

On the 69 RR's the ring around the taillights was light argent. On the first car its dark argent and on the second car its ... dark argent. Unless they were both incorrectly restored by the same guy, what are the chances they're both done wrong? Not to mention EVERYTHING else being remarkably identical - same color, same wheels, same white letter tires, both coupes with chrome pillars. And then there's the hidden plate on the "440" !!

If it is the same car, maybe he did an engine swap? They do sound quite a bit different. Definitely would like more information.

My 383 exhaust was straight through, 440 had an H pipe crossover. It sounds mellower with the crossover.

My 383 and 440 cars. For all intensive purposes they have the same exhaust other than Bee has turn downs and Bird has tips. Neither have an H pipe.

The guy who posted that video is German. It appears from translating the initial comments on the video from German to English that this was a before and after engine swap.
