I posted this in another section of this site but I will ask here also! Have any of you guys or girls put a spacer in the leaf springs to lower the end of your 68 Dodge Charger? If you did, how did it handle after you put it in?
 
Placing a spacer between the axle & leaf spring will lower the rear end.
 
Most people just flip the front leaf spring brackets to lower the car.
 
Yes. Handling change is not noticeable using lowering blocks.
 
We've used 2" with no issue. Make sure that a pin is pressed in to locate the housing if its a little longer than the block so it touches the housing. Then it cant ever come out. Additionally you can angle mill them to correct pinion angle. Aluminum works fine for block material.

I have home made 1" lower blocks that I welded on to my leaf spring perches along with -1" split mono leaf springs on my E Body. With 30" tall tires it sits nice.
