Ok just curious what this is worth. Was thinking of buying but just want a few opinions. I know it's hard to say without seeing in person as I haven't yet either. It's a 68 Coronet roller has a back seat no fronts. Floors a frame solid. He said paint is like 25 years old and he said there us some mud in it . Has a Dana 60 with 4.10 gears and Caltracs. Fiberglass lift off 6 pack hood. Thanks in advance

8000?....1000 at the most. gotta stop this insanity. no engine ,no trans and all that goes with that(small stuff) no wiring, no dash,ex race car. Needs a ton of work to be a good driver. Get real people. the body is just one part of a car. I had an impossible time getting 10.000 for a turn key complete 64 sport fury. As in get in start it up and drive it away....By the way, I still have the fury

1k would be nice but I'm into reality. I agree the prices are insane it seems. I see trash rusted darts for 3 to 5 k lol..

looks pretty nice from what u can see in the pics, 8k is a reasonable #, 68 coronets are very hard to find, especially that clean.

Dana 60 with 4.10 and a sure grip -$2500
6 pack hood - $5-600
Cal tracs - $500
Is $3500 for those items alone. Maybe another $2500-3500 for the shell with suspension and brakes
Puts the grand total at around $6,000-7,000 ??

I agree with you. For the work and parts it needs I wouldn’t want it. My “guesstimate” is based on the Dana, six pack hood and popularity of the 68’s. Sadly I believe it would sell for something around that. I’ve been watching car prices lately and can’t believe what cars are actually going for.
(And I could be wrong, it happens a lot)

Yeah it's crazy what asking prices are I dont get. People should stop paying that much and prices would drop. With prices the way they are it's cheaper to buy one done and way less headaches

Good assessment on parts value and a very good way to try and determine potential value. My only other thought is 'what Dana?'. If it's a b body rear end certainly your $2500 is correct. If it's a converted truck rear end, crudely narrowed or who knows what else, price could change appreciably in the wrong direction.

I keep hearing people say prices are dropping but I don’t see it. I think the super high end car prices are coming down but the lower end car prices are going way up.
I sold a 70 Coronet bare shell 4-5 years ago, (no suspension, no doors, no fenders, no hood, nothing.) I sold it for $1,500. The big Mopar parts dealers around here said I should have asked at least $3,000.
Good luck in your quest.

Guess he said it's Dana from Strange

I bought my running and driving 68 for $8500 just three years ago. I'm seeing a whole lot of parts missing on this car... dash, seats, stainless and chrome trim... who knows what else. $1000 is ridiculously low, but I certainly wouldn't drop 8K on this. I'm thinking somewhere around $4k.

I'll say 5-6K depending on if it's a 225/deluxe car or a 318/440 model (maybe more if it's a 383/500), if it's got a clean title and if it has minimal bondo and no other rust through.

A Strange axle is a high dollar item, but it's used, in who knows what condition and/or how old- 50% of replacement value is the normal rule of thumb for things like that.

In the past 2 years I've seen locally, an unmolested 69 Super Bee with minimal rust sell for 13K, and a 67 GTX fresh out of pro body work but needing paint for 7K (to a forum member).

I also saw a super clean 68 Coronet (IIRC 440) factory 273 car with nice BC/CC paint shiny Cragars, and fresh factory interior in drive anywhere condition listed for 18K and it sat on CL for months and months.

Would you be buying it to build it back into a real car - or just to flip the parts?
Big difference....

My first thought was 8000, as well.
Is it worth that? Not to me, but I bet that’s what it takes (or close to it) to bring it home

Prolly to flip..I got a 65 Coronet I'm working on.
Then it truly is an example of it being "worth the sum of its' parts"....
and it doesn't matter what anyone says they "saw" something being sold for, ever:
what DOES matter is what they GOT when they wound up selling it - if they did.

What kind of shape is the 64 fury in?

The dana is pricey. I traded a Dana for a complete 67 Charger a few years ago, and the seller was ecstatic!
(he needed the dana more than the charger)
I also agree unfortunately 8,000 is ball park as a b body two door with a title is rare.most of the remaining are already restored, or crushed.
and when you have to pay 5k for a junked out 68 Valiant, then Inflation is the culprit!
Eventually the Cordobas are going to look pretty darn good!
