I am working on a 1964 Polara and wanted to put sequentially flashing turn signals in rear. I removed the back-up light from each side and wired in another combo tail light/ brake light socket and bulb in its place. I mounted a set of '63 back-up lights in the licence plate cove and they work. I bought a Mallofusa X0029G27OL sequencing module kit and wired it in per online diagram. The turn signals now flash sequentially as desired, and the tail lights work fine. However, I no longer have brake lights. On further investigation, manufacturer says that this product was not intended to work with a bulb with shared function. Bummer!
I know I can get the brake lights to work by running a separate circuit back from the brake light switch. My concern with this is back feeding power to the turn signal modules when the brake lights come on because both circuits use the same bulb filament. I must admit that electrical problems are not my strong suit. Would diodes on each of the separate flash circuits solve this? Does anyone know of another set of sequential modules that would support brake lights? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

a lot of late 60-s ford thunderbird/and/cougars had em,and the wiring module was basic if i recall.
pretty sure they still sell them.

It must be designed for a separate turn light system. Like Beater said, you need something like the sixties Mercury. Here's the first I saw with a search: http://www.redneckrides.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=53 .
Mid-sixties T-Birds had an mechanical contrivance that was prone to corrosion and failure, you don't want one of those, just one that works like them.

Diodes alone will not work. The brake light function will override the turn signal function. It needs to have the ability to know if the brakes are on at the same time as the turn signal. I did a design years ago that did what you want, but it used logic control with high current drivers for the bulbs. I don't have the source code anymore, but it would be easy enough to redo. Its more about the cost than the time. There are sequencers out there for SN95 Mustangs and Gen 5 Camaros that could be made to work. The Mustang one is probably a better choice.

Thanks for your post. I have found a module kit by Auto Trix that sounds like it will work.

Thanks for your reply. I have found a universal module kit by Auto Trix that sounds like it will work. They also make kits specifically for Mustangs and Camaros.
