How much for a factory paint job?

If it's gonna be a Daily Driver and needs no body work you can get a decent 20 footer paint job at cut rate shops for $3000-$3500 here around Cincinnati Ohio. I've seen a few at local car shows that actually looked pretty good.

I don't really understand why you bought an unmolested numbers matching 69 Charger R/T with such a great patina some people would kill for and then want to repaint it??? You would be much better off to sell your Charger and buy one that has been restored - you will probably save a lot of money too!
True, it's your car and you can do whatever you want to but don't assume that destroying that original paint with its patina will earn you much respect in the Mopar world.
Here's the Charger we're talking about: https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/attachments/10-jpg.979019/
It's his car and his money. Why would he need to earn the Mopar Worlds respect ? I don't think I have ever made a decision based on what someone else thought I should do :)

No, you all most certainly are not "savages", my friend. :)
This reminds me of one of my favorite YT channels, that of Jerry Heasley (if you've been in this hobby a long
time and keep up with publications specific to it, you know who he is - dude has cred and is a good fella besides):

He has really good friends on the other side of the border who are just as connected and gonzo about the
whole history and barn find sort of discoveries, including a lot of the restoration business in Mexico.
There's some videos on his channel where they go to such shops and the work being performed there can
best be described as "intense" - lots of old school methods, lots of gorgeous results for VERY reasonable
prices.
It's worth a look. Awesome channel, too.

Some of the best craftsmen in all of the trades come out of Mexico. They aren't lazy and very proud of their work.

Agree. I got a first gen Mexican-American friend that can do anything from re-spline axles to 16 coat ghost flame paint jobs.
