Whats everyone's thought on this radiator

I went with Glen Ray Radiator's. 26 inch 3 core . Looks factory and it can cool very well when coupled with a shroud and 7 blade 18 inch fan.

I heard Wizard is good but never bought from them, did you look at ColdCase? I bought from them for my Bee. There is no way I could afford Glen Ray

I also recommend Cold Case. They are a fbbo sponsor.

Hey Guys,

Never heard of anyone using them. They are made from wizard radiator and would be for my 69 RR 383. Seems like a good one.

Thanks!

I'm to old school, they have to function for the purpose, but have to have the looks of original too. No numbers or Chrysler logo is OK. 1-800-Radiator is getting one for my 63 Chrysler 300 at present, two wide tube aluminum 22", less than 200 dollars. I have used them many times for customer projects and low budget builds. All other get Griffin, recored original, or Glen Ray.

I'd suggest looking at ColdCase as well. Checks all the boxes such as 2 rows of 1.25" tubes, all tig welded (no epoxy), direct fit for your car, a 60 day guaranteed to cool warranty, & correct upper and lower sized connections. Summit sells them with FREE FREIGHT, AND, a lot cheaper...

Back in the day, JC Whitney was the look that you tried to avoid. Having a race car is okay with an aluminum radiator but anything else is lipstick on a pig.

Yes, I looked at coldcase but they don't have a 22" that will hold a stock shroud.

There's a nice 053 radiator to do it right... right in the classifieds here, that 3white74 is selling.

You just live in the for sale section don't you? LOL I have my old rad but it needs to be record, rather go with this one.

i did the Wizard 26” with shroud and high-performace integrated fans. using my MSD Atomic EFI to trigger fans on/off. been working good for the passed couple of years on my 66 Coronet.

Thank you for that most helpful personal opinion... By your comment, I'm assuming that everything on your car is OEM?

As a matter of fact it is, but that is not for everybody. If there are two cars next to each other and one is OEM or close to it, I recognize that anyone can buy an aftermarket part but it takes more effort to install a correct part. I appreciate effort on car and that is my thought like the thread title asked.

I personally prefer the old stuff... brass and copper work the best and glen ray is the best... I do understand money talks but so many American made ones are kits they put together with China parts.. just buy the best you can afford. Aluminum is pretty but copper and brass last and cool more efficiently IMO, they both have pros and cons ..

the wizard radiators are not cheap by any means. aluminum is the trick today make sure you use additive or aluminum safe coolant. another point is use a stock clutch fan and proper shroud.impotant that fan blades are two thirds in the shrould and the edge of blades are 1/4 inch from diametet of shrould. avoid electric fans at all possible

Have the 3 core glen ray 26" look alike. 440 never overheats and it looks right at home in the stock engine bay.
