Hey everyone, I have a period/date correct carburetor for my 69 super bee 383. I would like to have it rebuilt prior to putting it on the car. Does anyone have a suggestion or a good source for a rebuild?

FBBO sponsor Woodruff Carburetor. Did nice work on a carb base plate.

Harms Automotive in Spokane Washington
Just called and spoke to Scott. Super nice guy. He said right now they have a 5 to 6 month wait Due to all the back up caused by Covid.

Definitely Woodruff carbs. But, it’s generally not hard to buy a rebuild kit and learn a better grasp for what all the internals and set screws do while rebuilding and cleaning. It may also help you in the long run when trying to dial it in.

I have rebuilt a couple carburetors. Rebuilt in terms of new gaskets and cleaning. When the brass fittings are worn out and rods are leaking gas that’s when I need a professional

Both guys will satisfy your needs well. I used Scott at Harms and was VERY pleased. It does take awhile but it’s worth it period!

Harold Demes rebuilt them and I didn't even have to adjust them after putting them on. He is a master carb builder. His contact is 6306057218

I’ve only dealt with Harms. Scott is super nice. Because of COVID the wait blows, but it is what it is.

Harold Demes....extremely reasonable and less than two week turnaround without the COVID bull ****.

You probably have a Carter AVS. # 4615S (manual trans) or # 4618S (auto trans). WHY don't you rebuilt it yourself??.....unless its all crapped up and missing parts....then send it to a Professional restorer like WOODRUFF CARBS....an EXCELLENT SUPPLIER who offeres a price consideration for FBBO members....call him....very reliable. Just my opinion of course.
