53--47 weight bias

What many miss is 60 ft is also a function of power/weight. No matter how much traction you have if you don't have enough power at the tire it wont 60 ft quick. Power to the tire isn't just from the engine. Torque converter, rear gear ratio, 1st gear ratio all can increase power at the tire. Carbs can help with better transition. And obliviously a lighter car accelerates quicker. I'm working on going quicker than 1.25 foot braking at 3350lbs

I know you are correct. The converter that came with the car was very inconsistent. One pass would be a 1.38 60ft pass next would be 1.46 60ft. I put my spare and old (40 years old) converter in it. If I started out with a 1.43 60ft it would repeat pretty close all day. Sent my converter back for refreshing and to be built to car. Also trying to find your pictures of moving the firewall back. Thanks Rick

Never took a pic of the actual move of the firewall. Just laid a 2x4 against the wall and jacked against the inside of the K frame. Used a bottle jack and a piece of tube to extend it to the 2x4.
