66/67 Belvedere, Satellite, GTX Quarter Panel Survey

Good News Guys... Just got this in the AMD newsletter. Damn I see I was beat to the punch.

I already have 1 of each on the way.

I just got two hard top parts cars with nice quarters and also have a 4-door with good quarters. Anyone looking for parts, contact me.

i was expecting to hear some buzz about the quarter panels and the trunk extensions by now, anyone have any inside info?

Hi Rich,

Did you see my post? Fortunately, I just picked up two 1967 Satellites with really good quarters. I also got decent trunk extensions as well.

Thanks,
David

hey guys... i received an email from mike at AMD, I enquired about the 66-67 plymouth Bbody quarter panels .... his exact words to me were...Quarter panels should be in stock in 3-4 weeks, also trunk floor extensions are still in development and he does not have an ETA on those............................... i hope the extensions come available quickly, i want to do quarters and extensions at the same time... Rich

I just ordered a set from Passon Performance. Save a few dollars $640 each +shipping, drop shipped from AMD.

Great! Now that I'm about done rebuilding and piecing together my outer wheel houses and quarter panels, AMD finally has everything for sale -- Perfect timing. :BangHead:
Oh well. That'll teach me not to procrastinate (nah, probably not).

Don't feel bad I have done it for years. Cutting up parts cars, buying crappy patches. When they make the trunk extensions they will have everything.

I am going with Joe Phillips Restoration quarters. Should be done in a few weeks. He is starting to roll the metal Monday.

I received a pair of the AMD panels, and the outer WHs, this morning. They look very nice, only one little ding from shipping. Tons better than the OEM Chrysler sheet metal I remember installing in the 80's and 90's. Most of it looked like assembly line rejects that had been thrown in a pile.

I too recieved a pair this morning.

And they are political, red is on right and blue on the left.
Got these last time AMD did something for the 66-67's.

Have you guys taken these quarters out and looked them over? How do they compare to factory length and body lines?
Mine is not a valuable car, so I expect these will be perfect for me either way.

I haven't done any measuring, but took one out of the box and can say it's so much better than piecing 3 to 4 patches together to make a good panel. The lines look good but again no measurements.

You inspired me to check them out a little more, so I hung one on my parts car out back. Every measurement I took with my old metal tape was spot on. This one has a 20 minute ding to fix, but that's nothing compared to what I'll be saving in work on my Belvedere .
