I removed the package tray in my Charger. It has the jute backing. I noticed the jute is actually glued to it own board which is then glued to the package tray. I'm going to purchase and install a new package tray with the insulation pad. It looks like the new insulation pad are just a jute pad that is glued directly to the package tray not to it's own board. Anyone else buy the new type insulation and use it? Does it come on it's own board or does it come in a roll? Thanks.

I bought the REM brand and it came rolled.
Here's another shot where you can see the insulation board separate from the package tray board around the speaker hole and by the clip. I was hoping someone had found another company making these like the originals. I have the option of removing the insulation board from the shelf tray and reusing it on the new tray.

Don't waste your money on the repro insulation. It is WAY too thick and your package tray will sit too high and cause fitment issues. Reuse your original insulation, or find a material that is the same thickness. although the color is different [black], landscape fabric makes a suitable replacement insulation.

Why don't you put down some Dynamat? it will work alot better than the original factory stuff.

I have used a product something like Dynamat to insulate my car from heat and sound. I glued it to roof and floor. I also used it under the package tray and glued some to the passenger side on the panel board that separates rear seat from trunk compartment. I cut a piece of it and doubled it over to insulate between valley pan and intake manifold of my big block.
