Hey everyone, hope someone here has already come across this and can help me out. My 70 R/T didn’t have a fuel filler tube in it when I got it. Installed a new AMD trunk pan and didn’t realize it doesn’t have the hole for the vent tube pre drilled. I’m pretty sure it’s 7/8 in diameter, does anyone have any measurements on where exactly to drill it?

I'm confused as to what you mean. As I stated in the PM, NO 1970 Charger that I know of had a vent line on the filler neck.

Those rubber plugs have no vent line going through them. Are these the holes you're thinking of?
The 1970 had a different vent system different from that 1/4" line that other cars had alongside the filler neck.

I think it's that fwd rubber grommet in your top pic. The vent tube angles straight down from the filler tube a few inches from entering the gas tank. It vents in the frame rail if I remember right.

Only California 1970 Chargers got the vent tube monstrosity setup on the passenger side.

That’s great if it doesn’t, that way I don’t have to drill a hole in the painted floor. In your first pic there’s 2 rubber plugs to the left of the filler neck opening. The top one has a hole in it, that’s where I assumed the vent line went. Does anything actually go through it?

Those pictures are of my project car, Jigsaw. It is a California car.

Here's a pic of mine. vent tube is attached to forward side of fill tube and hidden out of sight. hope this helps.

Great thanks for the photos Kern Dog and Ray70Chrg, looks like the 2 grommets are close enough to almost touch. Should be able to figure out location to drill the hole from them.

Holy crap....I have never seen a vent line on any 68-70 Charger.
Sorry that I was so rude, I didn't think that this was an actual thing that they did!
