A833 wont separate from engine

Currently I am restoring my factory 1964 Dodge 440 2door sedan 426 Street Wedge with a 4 speed transmission. I did mate them both together out of the car before installing, which takes patience to do. However I would bolt them back together and pull them out as one as others have suggested. It is a lot less of a headache.
And once out, you can address the problem a lot easier.
Let me know what you find out as to what the problem was.
Nice to find someone with another 1964 Dodge 426 Street Wedge and 4 speed combo.

Im lifting the engine in my 64 Polara and it refuses to let go of the transmission. I have them seperated almost an inch but more than that is impossible.

Could the input shaft be siezed by rust to the clutch? Does anyone have a good tip for this or should i just try and remove the pressure plate from underneath and tackle this problem later?

The clutch is still hooked up try pushing the pedal to the floor lt might release

Take it all out together as one piece. Then I bet you have to take the bolts out of the pressure plate and take clutch and all with the transmission because the clutch disk has rusted to the input shaft and will not come loose. This will give you access to the shaft from the front so you can take a wire brush to it and clean it up so it will come off. Might have to use penetrating oil as well.
