Hey guys, currently upgrading my stock radiator and would love some advice on what you believe is the best all around radiator. I have been researching around and see a lot of hype about Be Cool, Griffin, Glen Ray but they're not cheap. I have a 1967 Coronet R/T with a 440/727 auto trans. Let me know what you guys think.

I went with a champion brand aluminum for my 67.
3 core with transmission cooler.
No complaints .
 
The one jerry posted looks good also.

I installed them in customers cars on a couple of occasions with no complaints, and we have 100 degree heat here in the summer.
 
I have a 26 inch 3 cored rad, for the 440, stock. From what I was told, it was recored in 1984 or 85. Clutch fan. Since the car is all apart I will get it cleaned and checked along with the heater core. It seems strange to me that so many big blocks ran for so many years without overheating. I know of cases where the back water jackets were partially plugged. If it was that bad, wouldn’t Chrysler have had enough complaints to change things? Maybe big increases in in horsepower might be a cause.

This has worked well, and is a inexpensive alternative, while keeping a stock look.

I like how they're focused on the circumference of the radiator tubes and not the amount of tubes. The size of the tubes is what matters! Id totally check that out if I needed a radiator; you should too OP, and the price is good too...

I have heard good and bad things about Champion. Price is cheap but don’t want the quality to be. I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying they leaked shortly after install. I wouldn’t know first hand just from others.
 
You will find that everybody has an opinion. Sometimes it is based on fact and experience. Many times not. Talk to them and make up your own mind.

I'm running a Champion in mine! No issues , been in for 4 years , it's a 2 row with 1" tubes

I think one of the main problems is the lack of real radiator repair shops to do the re core.
Lots of old copper radiators still around but most all are plugged or split.
New copper repops are out there but pretty expensive.
Not saying aluminum is better than new copper, just less cost and more available.

I've had really good experience with my original factory radiators that were re-cored by radiator shops. I've run the factory 26" in two '69 GTXs, one with factory A/C (with a fixed position spacer replacing the clutch fan), and the other my current factory 4-speed with clutch fan. A lot of city miles with both cars when I drove them home after purchase, my 4-speed has been stuck in traffic at Carlisle several times, never had a problem with overheating. My stock '68 GTX with no A/C, a 727, and the original 22" factory unit (with fixed position fan, factory shroud) ran hot until I had it re-cored 8 years ago. Same experience as the 26" radiator in Carlisle traffic, now the temp gauge never budges from center. Lucky to have access to a good shop.

Glen Ray re did my 22" 053 radiator in front of a stock 69 440 HP auto and fixed fan and it works just fine. No fuss, no muss. Just proper cooling for my set up.
It always cost less to do it right in the first place.

If you are worried about 'cheap' you may be in the wrong hobby.
