Yep. That's a One Hundred Trillion dollar note. This is a real deal bank note. I have a bunch of these. Bought them on ebay. It was comical bringing them back to Canada from the USA as the not particularly well informed customs officer obviously knew nothing about economics and grilled me about their value. I have a similar banknote from Yugoslavia as well.

In my reply to Richard Cranium's inquiry about gold and silver I wrote about Governments monetizing their debt. This is a good article from Business Insider about how "Zimbabwe is paying its citizens $5 for 175,000,000,000,000,000 Zimbabwe dollars":

These conversations are a LOOOONG WAY from talking about B Bodies, but are nevertheless very interesting.

It's probably worth about 6 cents American!

So...
What is it really worth? A buck? 50 cents? Less?

It has no value as currency. They're not exchangeable. Now they are just novelty items. Depending on condition you might be able to buy a perfect specimen for $100 or so. Considerably less for worn ones.

I see I bought a couple mint sets on ebay in Feb. 2010 for $8.99. It looks like they might actually up in value!

I get emails all the time from people in Africa wanting me to claim my money. Just have to send them my SS number, DL # and a photo ID. HA!

I have 40 million in Zimbabwe currency.

My stepson asked me what I wanted for my birthday one year.

My standard answer is always "$300,000 in small, non-sequentially numbered, unmarked bills".

So far, he is the only one that's ever produced....and he went over and above!

I have a old Baghdad buck with Goddam Hussain's face on it!
