I discovered I have Motortrend TV as part of my package.....who knew? ....... anyway, I came across "Dallas Car Sharks" ...... My God, I'm bleeding IQ points......who watches this sh#t?

There are some real shitty TV shows on the air.
How about that Bad Chad show?
The guy looks like he has been awake for weeks.

MT channel has a ton of intelligence-insulting, formulaic scripted crap....
makes me appreciate the "home-grown" stuff on YT that much more.

Ugh, just stop watching TV...
Pretty much have around here...
Wife has a routine of binge watching some series on Netflix or Amazon in the evenings after
dinner while she crochets. If it's an interesting show, I might glance over at it sometimes, too -
but I'm usually busy elsewhere.
I do have to have the TV on at night, lowered volume, in order to fall asleep though.
I DO love me some "How It's Made", though!
Other than that, it's an occasional movie.

On YT, though, I keep up with several of the better channels - none of which I'd call "professionally
produced". They run the spectrum of car type content, along with a couple of mine exploration
channels of folks running around the desert SW, I dunno why....
i find that **** fascinating.jpg

I have almost no use for it; but we have TV, internet, and cell phones as a package; and one of them (pick one) is pretty much free......I guess I had motortrend the whole time, I discovered it by accident

Not me!

There are a few good ones. I actually really like Wheeler Dealers due to Ant and his work in his shop to fix the cars up. The guy is really talented, and you can actually (gasp!) learn something from him.

Iron Resurrection isn't bad either.

I've seen a couple I never saw before; they were actually pretty good; but this Dallas Car Sharks thing...... Geez

They throw these shows against the wall and hope they stick. If not, it’s cancelled.

There were 2 other shows that could be worse, Pimp My Ride and West Coast Customs... there was another where they modified high end exotics that was pretty lame, a lot of celebs but I forget what it was called.

I'll catch Leno's Garage when it's on, and usually some Counting Cars on Sunday mornings before I go out to the garage and work on MY cars...but that's about it for car stuff on TV for me. Other than Mecum - to see how the other half lives!

One program I do really like - not car related - is "mysteries of the abandoned". Some pretty cool stuff out in the world, just rotting away....

Junkyard Gold is interesting Steve Magante is like the Rainman of cars... definitely ,ya definitely not a big block..

I saw that show listed last week. I tuned in and maybe I saw 90 seconds of it. Terrible show. I'd rather watch a Super 8 birthday movie from 1960.

hey Joe Smith, i wish i could hit the agree button a million times.... pure pure f*****g garbage that these mindless sheep watch.....and i agree with the above post also, dallas car crap and that Chad guy.. holy **** is that bad TV..

I can't get into YT. I do like Garage Squad and Street Outlaws

It pissed me off when they dumped Edd China. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the show much since then.

I agree. Edd was great on that show. He tried another show "Edd China's Garage Revival". I think the pilot episode is on Amazon or Netflix. It didn't last much longer than that though. I got through one episode of that Bad Chad Customs, mostly because we share the same name. How does that dude have a tv show??!! I just binged Graveyard Carz seasons 7-12 on Netflix over the past month or so. When it first started, I watched the first season but lost interest because of all the BS with Darren and Josh. They ruined the show in my opinion. I think the later seasons are a little better, the ones without them. And, I can fast forward over all of the staged BS and crap, which leaves only about 15-20 minutes of actual working on/talking about cars.

There's a series called "For the Love of Cars" that Ant is in. I think it's on Netflix. The premise is the host finds cars in England that have some significance historically, works a deal out with the owner to restore it then auction it off. They also go into the history of the car. Pretty good series.

Geared Up has to be one of the worst. They don't have a clue what they are doing. They're lucky if they break even on their projects and his wife makes me cringe. What's with the slow motion test drives at the end? Is it to show off the wavy paint jobs?
