Hi! I’ve been on For A Bodies Only for a while now and I’ve found it very helpful and useful throughout the restoration of my Demon. Thought I should join here to help my dad out when we build the ‘70 Charger! He’s done a few mopars in the past including his ‘69 super bee that he still owns. But he’s got some wicked plans for this Charger! I’ve done YouTube videos with my car since I’ve started and I’m sure I’ll do videos on the Charger too if you’d be interested in checking them out and maybe subscribing! I’ll link it down below as well as some pictures of the Charger!

Is that an XH Charger? The 1970s with no aluminum taillight trim have VINs that start out as XH29, like this one:

No, I meant this trim:

Look at the VIN. The XH29 was the base model, the XP29 was the Charger 500 and the XS29 was the R/T model.

Welcome aboard! Looks like you have a good project !

Ok yes I understand now, I always thought it was just a swapped 69 tail panel but I’ll have to look at the vin, very interesting

It won't have upper door pads either if it's an XH29 car.

Welcome from Alabama, Gen II Chargers are still being found.

I hope I can find dads old RT! 170626, it still gives me a little hope when something new pops up.

Welcome from Missouri!!

welcome to FBBO

The XP cars did have the aluminum trim. I don't know if it was something that could've deleted at the time it was ordered. Maybe the holes were welded over or the entire taillight panel was replaced.
