I think this is going to be a fun winter/spring project.

This car has been through many owners and nobody ever got it running for whatever reason. We will get it running and driving while fixing the interior and other maintenance items. Anybody know this one?

Sorry for the blurry pictures it is usually dark and raining when I work on this stuff.

I'd love to have the info for the database I'm building.

There's another one on ebay right now.

Just got those pics and VIN and added that one.

I'm now up to six that I have VINs for and a few more that I don't.

That is my favorite car but have never found one yet. Awsome score.

Link? I have seen several 4-speed 500 models but only a handful of 4-speed equipped 440 models.

This car is special to me because it the only way to get a non-console 4-speed in 1966. It's original paint and in pretty good condition considering what it has been through. Thanks for the kind words it feels good to save another car.

Huh.

It was there this morning.

Good thing I didn't procrastinate taking pics.

Getting ready to leave work, so might be tomorrow before I can post more.

Nice...I had a 66 440 same color combo that I bought from a friend in '93. Hated to sell it in 94 but it was time to buy my first house. That one was originally a 361 2bbl bench seat 4 spd. Lots of fun on cruise nights.

Glad someone here got that car. I think it's been on every for sale website on the internet over the last 6 years or so.

I like it. Same color as my 67. My Mom has a 66 Coronet that I need to do some tinkering and body work on for her. 318 poly, and I get visions of a big block swap. BUT, the poly is a perfect running car....

Nice find. Yep the weather turn's when we want to work on the car. Keep us posted on the progress.

What options does it have?

2w AM, 26" radiator, sway bar, 3.23 sg and that is it. Manual steering and brakes. It's an ordered LA built/CA emission car according to the tag. I have 75% of the build sheet and no certicard. It has the small unsilenced air cleaner which always seemed odd considering the CA emissions code. This car had the little plastic vacuum thing on the pass side rear intake manifold hold down strip. My 68 GTS had it bolted to the passenger rear carb stud. My last 66 Coronet 440 had the vacuum thing attached tothe front driver corner of the air cleaner.

I really wish we would have jumped on it 6-7 years ago. The body damage (dings and dents) and price doubled in that time. We were moving from K Falls to Rogue River and just didn't have the storage. Once our silver 66 sold and went off to Germany my family was so heart broken, for sentimental reasons, that i had better scoop up a replacement while one was available within range. If my silver car would have been a 4 speed it would still be here in the shop. This car is identical with the exceptions of color, power steering and the column shift automatic.

Wonder what drove the 26” rad?

Normally only came as part of axle package, or A/C, towing etc.

I guess something like a towing package. I will post a scan of the build sheet and see if we can figure it out. My silver car's interior was trashed so no build sheet there either. It had a 7 blade viscous clutch fan. This car should have had one but somebody swapped it for the 22" 4 blade non clutch unit.
