For Sale my Auto Transmission. 727 Transmission includes both cables and shift box. I am changing over to a 4-speed. If not I would not be selling it. It runs great I have had it the car for almost 10 years. One thing should be done if you want it has a small drip out of the front it either needs a seal or gasket. $500.00 plus shipping. I live in Arizona thanks

PK or trans ID #?? Thx, Lefty71

The number is stamped into the drivers side of the transmission, just above the pan. If Lefty isn’t interested, I might be since it will work in my 64 Polara that I’m restoring.

Thanks Steve I will get it in the morning and post it.

Ok, Here are the numbers on the side of the Transmission.
E2464424 1086011
I was using a mirror and reading backward its right close to the header was really hard to see. for instance that o in the second set could be a q. Hope that helps!

The numbers are on the Post

Thanks for providing the numbers. So according to Galen's white book, E2464424 decodes as a 1964 B Body transmission for a 383 engine.

That's probably correct This car started life as stripped Savoy Six cylinder small rear end radio delete bought out of a government auction in New Mexico.

So you might want to cross reference what Galen's book says with other sources since Galen's white books have been known to be inaccurate from time to time. I'm going to have to pass on my interest in your trans. since I'm putting a big block motor in my Polara.

Good luck with your sale!

I take it your talking about the 4 speed parts. Here and there e-bay, b-bodies, I have some friends that are NHRA racers thru their grape vine, you just have to start searching. Brewers Performance has everything you need at retail to fill in the blanks. Not sure they do 62's be worth a call, Passon Industries but they are pretty spendy. You might have better luck if they do not do 62's to go with a tremec conversion but you have to supply the pedals. Just my opinion.

Thanks Steve I did not realize a 383 was not considered Big Block I sure do not want to mislead anybody. I thought you might enjoy a few pictures of my 64polara project since you are doing one also. 64 Polara Gasser project.

im going to run a straight axel on my 64 also what are you using
Do not buy most of the Junk out there. I bought mine from the guy up in Connecticut, who makes a lot of them for those racers in that south east gasser club you see on You Tube. Super strong if you are especially going to run a Hemi. I have a friend that has a 49 Gasser Cadillac with a 301 olds engine just messing around and bent the axle when he wheelied the car. Another friend bent his by hitting a curb driving into a car show. I can not find his info in my folders but just go on you tube and look up that association and they got his info you will not be disappointed. He is not cheep but well worth it. Then I used Isuzu Trooper springs re arched and added one extra leaf. Hope that helps
