1969 Dodge Dart Swinger... she's Home !

Maybe I missed it earlier, but I assume that you are not putting stock valve covers on the engine?
Then you would assume wrong. They are not the correct year, but some jack *** cut a hole in the back (front actually) of the cleaner assembly so for now I'll be running the incorrect 70 or 71 covers that came with the car that have the PCV and breather on the wrong side for '69. Later I'll track down a correct set of covers and fix the filter assembly, or find another that's not molested.

As I noted early on in this thread, I'm only updating the thread here with a single picture (or a bunch of random airplane stuff.. LOL) .... so guys know to look over on FABO to see the full update.

Got it. I was wondering why the valve covers were not painted on the engine - that explains it!

My cousin and I flying over my lake house in his Cessna. Arrow points to my boat dock.

Hadn't got them blasted yet... forgot a step before I started painting the engine! lol Actually wanted to get the engine done and out of my "meat locker" so I could blast. Have to weld on some new wiring clips as well before paint.

What is the engine color called? It makes me wonder how folks in the 60s and 70s perceived colors. :fool:

Old Man Winter has to stop cutting into my shop time!!! Full morning is shot, but it's purdy at least...

Afternoon will be mostly lost getting my trailer hooked on and everything ready to go pick up my 4 post 9000lb extended Direct lift tomorrow! Still hoping to get some welding done before calling it a day.

Dart looks great Wayne! We haven't seen much of the white stuff in my neck of the woods.
Just the casualty of living 3500 feet from Georgian Bay, on the highest property on the point 180 feet above lake level. We catch the clouds and don't let them go it seems...

One of these guys ain't like the others... at least I bent the first one in the correct orientation...ffs..

Okay, come fishing with me..... here's the Rainbow trout lake shown in the first picture...

..and here's the tight little lake in the other pictures that's stocked with Speckled Trout. I could get you in there with me, but you'd be walking out!

Damn that's some beautiful country & fish
