I like this car
https://www.ebay.com/itm/324456116524

Never seen a manual column shifted 2nd gen charger before.
Seen both column shifted and manual shifted but not both at the same time. :D

Sure would be a shame to pull the Slant-6 and make an R/T Clone or Resto Mod out of it.

If i'd be rich i would probably add it to my collection. :)

Lots of threads on this car... looks like our member that lied to the old man he bought it from, and all of us, is getting close to doubling his money.

Yeah, we should just about start up a go fund me page to save this poor thing before someone paints it some garish colour , drops a 572 Hemi in and puts elastic band tires on it.

That would be a better fate than leaving it in the hands of the member here who's trying to flip it...

What a loser to have asked all of us all to comment on how nice it would be to get his local car that he will love and cherish forever and never sell it. How he’s always wanted a Charger like this and then poof he’s gone and bingo it’s up for sale in less than 6 months after a quick polish to make big bucks. I hope the dude doesn’t ever try and show his face on this forum again and ask for help and everyone’s opinion and if he did he’d prolly have some excuse like oh my wife lost her job so I had to sell it to pay bills blah blah blah. What a bum for the hobby. Something about this guy and his tactics he used on here just really pisses me off ya know?

Hes probably a chevy guy

It's getting very close to $40K right now.

After reading the thread, elderly abuse comes to mind.

Who was the member? I must have been on "vacation" and missed that thread.

Wow, 40k for a 6cyl. Looks like a solid example but do originality and seemingly good condition command that kind of price level? Maybe rarity? Making me feel better about my numbers 440 4spd r/t which was just about comparably listed.

I may get banned from ebay for a little while but I had to send him a message. Advised that he was a piece of crap n if it were possible should be arrested. Doesn't fix things, but it makes me feel better that he knows people know he's a piece of crap.

Max340 (the flipper) lives in san diego, CA.
Why i am not surprised? :D

Well that sadly proofs my point that you have to be an asshole to be a car dealer / making profit on cars.
Im sorry for the original owner.
If i were him and this car now gets its slant 6 ripped out (or being altered in any other way) i would probably try to find out where this guy lives (he probably knows?) and beat the crap out of him...

I’m not taking sides, but the guy stated in the original post before he bought the Charger that he was going to clean it up and pass it on to another person. It’s not against the law to buy something and sell it for a profit. He probably never thought it would bring close to $40,000 when he went to resell it. I certainly wouldn’t have thought it was bring that price

40k for a super nice 68 charger with no rust is light years cheaper and easier than buying a rust bucket and fixing it. Plus its ready to drive.
Now, the seller is a weenie for flipping it after saying he would never let it it go, etc.
I'm sure whoever buys it will give it a heart transplant. I hope they do it right and change the suspension, etc.
It will turn up again, I'm sure.

It seems that there have been a lot of deleting and probably also editing going on in this thread.
At least it makes the impression that he missed to tell that to the original owner but instead promised to keep it (original).

That is not how his original thread started. He edited and erased a whole bunch of posts once he had the car secured.

Who ever does this cant love the car.
But that person surely loves money.
C'mon why not use a 318 or even 383 car for that instead?

I agree with the ideals being mentioned here but,,, on his second post he did clearly say "..then plan on letting it go to someone else". Looks like he's following his plan.

Not that I agree with it.

sorry for double post
