Modern Bullitt build

that's a great tip and thank you for that one. I was recently turned on to your build and this thread by a buddy and seriously amazed at your work. well done and i'll send my Dart to you just let me know when you want it.

Don, Thanks for checking out the build and for your kind words.
Have a great holiday!

Hi, I thought I would share my modern Bullitt build hereas I have been checking out all the great gen III Hemi threads on your site.

I started the restoration of my 1968Dodge Charger with a plan to build a modern Bullitt. The outside of the carwill look like the movie car with exception to the wheels, tires and a lowerstances. I had set of one off 17” wheels custom made to match the look of thehubcaps use on the Bullitt Charger. This will allow larger brakes and widertires. This hubcap was made to look like a mag wheel originally and now I’mgoing to have a wheel made to look like a hubcap. The motor will be an Indy genIII 426 Hemi with a 6 speed manual trans. It will be mini tub and have RMSfront and rear suspension with 12.90 front wildwood and 12.19 rear wildwood brakes.
Here are few before, during, and to datepictures

The last picture is the front wheel on the back ofthe car as the 335 rear wheel don’t fit yet ;-)

Thanks
Pat
What is the rear tire size on that set up? Trying to figure out what I am going to run on my 69 Coronet.

Received a set of 3” TTI exhaust this week. Looking forward to installing the system and adding electric cut outs. After it is modified to fit I will send it out to be ceramic coated to match the headers.

Thanks

Pat

Install the windshield last night. The AMD glass fit great along with the year one gasket. Caulked the metal and glass track with Butyl rubber sealant. Will do an ultra sonic sound leak test before installing the stainless trim.

Thanks

Pat

Good day to be stuck in the shop with a snow storm. Started to make the custom X pipe to fit between the trans crossmember and driveshaft loop.

Coming together quick now! Amazing work, looks just as impressive underneath!

Slowly working my way aft piece by piece. I’m trying to keep the exhaust as close to the floor as to not see any of it hanging down from a side profile. Using welded on exhaust flanges certainly clean up the appearance.

Thanks

Pat
