Just wondering if anyone has purchased the Trick Flo complete top end kit for a 440, if anyone has how well does your car perform and will the kit fit under the stock hood of a 68 Coronet RT.

If you are talking about using their intake manifold, there is no way it will fit under a stock hood.

Kinda figured that as it's a inch taller than my Edelebrock Performer RPM intake and I had to buy that special drop down pan for my air cleaner so I could run my factory air cleaner.

You could go with an Indy dual plane. That'll fit!

The Edlebrock dual plane works as well. That is what I have on my 440 now with the TrickFlow heads. Back when the motor was built, it had iron 1977 motor home heads on it and still made 476HP and 502 ftlbs of torque on the engine dyno. Same heads in late 2019 when I put EFI on it, it made 394HP and 445 ftlbs on a chassis dyno. Now on to Dec of 20 and we installed the new heads and the numbers are 441 HP and 482 ftlbs torque on the same chassis dyno as in the previous run.

I highly recommend this upgrade to your 440..

I tried to put the dyno sheets in this but I orgot how to embed them in the text so you would not have to click on a link to see the sheets.

Don’t have the Tricflow intake but use Trick flow 240 heads, the recommended Harland Sharpe rockers and a M1 performance intake. As someone said there’s no way you’re fitting it under a stock hood. I run a 3” Six Pack hood and need to use a dropbase air cleaner.

Couldn’t tell you exact numbers yet but I’d wager the car is in the high 500s/low 600 HP. And mid 600 TRQ @ the crank. The car is also a 512” stroker so I couldn’t comment on a stock stroke 440.

Either way - the heads and rockers worked magically and I’d recommend the combo to anyone who didn’t wanna work with stock heads. You will need custom pushrods.
