Good experience?
Up till now I've just used 50yr old originals for the turbo 383 but putting a new (used) 383 together and wondering about those or spending on arp. Not looking to go studs since my fury is just a street car.

I purchased stealth heads a couple of years ago and if I remember correctly you are supposed to use their head bolts. Go to their website and look at the FAQ page. Hope this helps.

I just used them on my 400 with the stealth heads.. They seem good.

Had a choice between ARP and their house brand. I used their bolts no issue at all.

440Source: Guarantee they are made in China
ARP: Made in the USA!!!

I know which I will pick, and always recommend to my customers.

I didn't say you would, but chinese quality control is marginal at best. I do this every day, and see cheap chinese crap all the time. I recently answered a post about stud shoulder differences, and pointed out that the studs were likely chinese. I also had a customer bring me a motor he bought that was gone thru recently, and was having issues. I took it apart and at least 6 chinese head studs were too short, only going thru the nut half way. Support your country and buy American when you can. I will spend more for "Made in USA" any time I can!! :usflag:

And you know this for a FACT, right ?!?!?
Why, are you fact checking me? If they don't say ARP on the tops of bolts/nuts/studs, then yes, I say they are ARP "like", which means chinese. Don't believe me, call them and ask!!

I used 440 source with no issues. I was not aware they were made in China. Im putting a new motor together now. I think I will pay more for the USA product. Thank you for the heads up!!

69Bee is just "assuming" they're made in China because "a lot" of their stuff is. But "a lot" and "all" are two different things. Its ******** like him who spread lies and rumors that can hurt or kill a good small business. Just look what four years of that **** has done to your country!!

Ok, I'll pre-empt you. They offer BOTH ARP and "Fake" ARP. The prices between 440S and Summit Racing favor SR by $20-$30. SO, I would get ARP from Summit Racing anyway. As far as the OP question, he asked about their "House" brand, which will be made in china...

this doesn't answer the question but it is an interesting fact. My Lawson product supplier told me that there are only two manufacturers of fasteners still in the USA. They make all of the stuff for Caterpillar (where i used to work) and the other US made stuff. He said one is "Great Lakes, i can't remember the other name. But the different bolt companies buy time on the line and the stuff is built to their specs and branded as such.
the guy knows his stuff and is not a BSer so i believe him.

Why cheap out on an essential component? ARP is a known commodity. Use their headbolts and rod bolts for a little bit more money. I don't cheap out on oil either.

I use the ARP bolts and studs. I don't know who supplies the 440 source bolts? Maybe they will chime in.
Had problems with some "grade 8" studs bought from Summit Racing. Forgot the manufacturer, but I think they were listed as grade 8, but maybe grade 5 at best.
Used then on the rocker arm hold downs, and one on the end snapped resulting in breaking the rocker shaft. Replaced with ARP, and no problems.
