Defrost vents broken & steering knuckle broken.
Accomplished today. New dash pad is in place, and replacement speedometer is in the cluster

Good stuff. That car is super nice. I noticed something up with the steering when it was here. The steering gear was loose on the K-Frame I tightened it down. But it looks to be under control now. :thumbsup:

:lowdown::lowdown::lowdown::lowdown::lowdown::lowdown:, THAT is a beautiful car. My eyes almost popped outta my head, I LOVE the Copper color. Best of luck with it, I am really looking forward to seeing and hearing more. Keep pluggin along, you'll get there

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Those wheels look good on there Jerry.

I hate to be a bummer but the thread title is sure to send shivers down the spines of many members, myself included.
I see Stage 4, I always think of Cancer.

Funny I was thinking stage 4 heads.....

Sorry, I tend to have a morbid sense of humor on that particular topic...

Sorry, that never crossed my mind with the topic.

What was left inside the steering knuckle.

Broken speedometer.

Work done today, but it doesn't show as much as the deconstruction yesterday. The replacement dash pad is bolted in rather than just sitting in place. The column is now out. All the bulbs have been changed in the cluster for LED's. Going to pickup some florescent orange for the needles on the gauges. Got a coat of paint on the bezel, but still need to do the chrome trimmings, or something that looks the part. The new steering knuckle is ordered. Also got the defroster ducts repaired without having to remove them. Just a couple of hours work that took most of the day.

Cluster gauge needles painted, cleaned gauge surfaces, reassembled cluster after painting and detailing bezel. It's ready to be reinstalled. Glove box door cleaned and painted. Repairing several posts before reinstalling.

Cluster back in today. A slow job going back together, but a little progress daily gets it done eventually.

A little at a time. Waiting on steering coupler parts which are delayed. Dash is finished, and will probably hang the column to test while waiting on parts.
