Power Dies on WOT in lower rev range

Uninsured is not a smart thing to do my friend at least here in the States.
ABSOLUTELY TRUE.....except for some Citizens in the Great State of Chicago, where these DMV Laws (and many other laws) do not apply to these forthright Citizens, especially bail and convictions requirements. Just think how much $$$ can be saved by not buying insurance and the $160/yr/vehicle in vehicle registration fees can be realized. Just my opinion of course.

There was a good question farther back up the stack. What was the starting point? Did it ever have a good pull down low while you’ve owned it? There’s a long way between a car that’s changed from good to bad and an engine that’s been built and never worked as hoped.

Lots of good suggestions so far but some are much more appropriate to a change (metering rods sticking for instance) than a never-right engine which might have that issue or dozens more. The more you can tell us the more we can help.

If it’s truly a bog, floor it from a dead stop and a big bucket of nothing, then eventually it pulls well, even at lower RPM that’s one thing. If it never does much of anything below 2500 rpm but maybe doesn’t bog, that’s quite another.

going to take it out tonight and see how it goes....i will keep in touch guys...

i feel like its something to do with it sitting for so long...probably just needs a good drive..

Ok, so i took it out for a drive on Friday and sunday afternoon..... it seems that is just hesitates very briefly and then pulls, and it actually pulls pretty strong, i definitely think its making good power, its just that slight hesitation that needs to be investigated....i had a very busy weekend so i havent had a chance to have a good look under the hood to figure out whats going on...

ive barely driven it as i've only just got it, previous owner said he didnt have the issue...who knows though...
it makes decent power and under half throttle down low its very torquey in every gear....its only if you stomp on it, if you roll on the gas it doesnt have the issue, its just a slight hesistation when you stomp on it....and then it fires into life and honestly pulls as hard as i'd ever want a old car to pull...almost scary haha...
