I am sure I have seen photos on here but with that said, is there clearance issues when using HP exhaust manifolds on the 62/65 Plymouth’s when a 383 or 440 is used?

Thanks Jeff!

I have a pair at home if you want to set them on there and see how they would look.
PM me I'm not that far away.

I had a set on my '64 Polara, and the manifolds fit with no problem. I also ordered the front exhaust pipes that would fit the manifolds, such as for a 1968 Roadrunner. The problem then became that the tie rod ends would hit the pipes because the engine sits farther ahead on a 1964 crossmember than does a 1968 combo. I had to dimple the pipes to clear. If you have pipes custom bent for your application this should not be a problem.

Thanks Don but when I’m ready I will be looking for a set to buy. Thanks for the offer!

The only clearance problem is on the pas. side where the original flapper counter weight is! There is not enough room The weight will hit the shock tower! Remove it and good to go! Be sure to take the plate and shaft out and plug the holes! If you don't it will rattle all the time!

I put them on the 361 in my 64 Fury. Same dimensions as a 383. Absolutely no problems.

I have a 1971 /383 in my 62 Polara 500. It currently has some unknown brand headers on it. I would like to install 70-71 HP exh. manifolds on her ...BUT it still has the 1962 power steering pump. It looks HUGE! Will the HP exh. manifold fit on that drivers side?????? Thanks very much!!!!!!

No problem with that combo.

383's are an inch smaller in width than the R.B.s so there is more room between the heat riser and the shock tower! I have less than a 1/4 " clearance so no counter weight!
