for a remake, it wasn't too bad

French Connection, Gene Hackman, Roy Schrider (spell)
mid 70's really good chase scene
about Italian's & the Chicago area smuggling in Heroin, drug bust

Gumball Rally, late 70's Love the guys in the Cobra
beating the Ferrari & Gary Busey in the Camaro

Gone in 60 Seconds, 1973-74-ish 1st one was cool
sort of cheesy *** characters really, but a cult classic

Gone in 60 Seconds, Nick Cage & Angelina Jolie
was pretty good for a remake, some great cars
& pretty good chase scene

Dukes of Hazzard, 1st Remake of the movie
good car scenes, humorous,
Jessica Simpson in a bikini when she was hot

Bullit, I'm really surprised there's never been a remake
most of the movie was slow, but the 10+ min. chase scene is one
of the better ones, if not the best ever, unfortunately,
the 68 Charger get's blown up

Aloha Boby & Rose, a bunch of Elton John music
star car was a 69 DZ302 Camaro

the TV show Crime Story, early 90's
about late 50's & early 60's mob/G-men based in Las Vegas,
cool 58-59 Desoto, Dennis Ferrara

Archer, has some cool cartoon'd spy cars,
Challenger, Charger & ElCamino

Roadrunner & Coyote, best ever cartoon

Funny Car Summer, like circa 1973-ish IIRC
lots of cool racecars, racing & sounds, about touring the
match-race circuit 1970's

American Nitro, later in the 70's, maybe 77-ish
full-on drag-racing flicks, all about the trials of the
NHRA, AHRA, IHRA lots of race scenes, Altereds F/C T/F Gassers
& attractive 'babes' in halter tops or hot pants

Thats Bill Hickman. he drove in all the big ones, Bullitt, 7 ups, French Connection the Love Bug and even Patton....he was his driver!
 
There is a new series on HBO called Bridge & Tunnel set in early 80s. On the street 2nd episode is a 73-4 Charger.

set on auto record on my DVR for about 5+ years
still hasn't ever shown on the channels I get

cool old Gasser style Vett,
with sort of greaser beatniks/car group & a blonde bimbo
& a jacked-up 56 (? IIRC) Belair chasing the old couple
& their "hotter teen daughter" around in the Calif. Hi-desert
(portrayed like the car culture was 'thought of' in the 50's - 60's
even into the 70's by mainstream Hollyweirdos)

one of my favorites a young kid, even then it was an older flick

I watch that probably once a year too
it's a long movie too, like 3+ hrs IIRC, lots of cool old cars
some funny/slapstick comedy stuff too
 
Fair number of Mopars on the Beverly Hillbillies.
