Super Bowl

I will be happily plowing and shoveling wet heavy snow at work,much more fun than spending one second watching the NFL or any other professional sports political event!

No more sports for me! Those overpaid brats better hope the military doesn't take a knee if we ever get invaded!
 
 
I enjoy watching college and NFL football and have no problem ignoring any political nonsense. I've been a Kansas City Chiefs fan my whole life and believe me it's been a rough lot of years of disappointment and losses. Watching the Chiefs play in last years Super Bowl was the first time I've seen my team play in it and I'm 52 years old and they won the sumbitch!! It's awesome to me to be able to see them try again today!! Forget the politics, grab a cold beer and watch some good football. Your all welcome to stop over, my shop of mopars also has two big screens and a fridge full of beer....GO CHIEFS
 
I'll be watching the super bowl, and thank you all of you people for buy avocados from Mexico , here where I live are produced most of the avocados you are going to eat in guacamole, thanks to you hundreds of thousands of jobs are created and sustained here, women at the factories that pack and send the fruit to you , farmers at the fields, in the end is a long chain and this day is the most important day for the avocados and belive me we celebrate the super bowl because of that so thank you so much you gringos.

It's the only game I'll watch all year unless it's a blowout. I pretty much just like the commercials! 440'
 
my wife loves football, i used too. lost my respect for them, will probably watch the end if its a close game. The team I used to root for has always let us down, and highly unlikely will ever win a playoff game let alone the superbowl. Guess I'm just one of the old guys bitchin about what this country has turned into. have a good sunday everyone.

Never have or will watch any of that trash; watching ungrateful millionaires chase a ball up and down a field is not only senseless but a complete waste of time.
 
Sorry just a personal opinion, but I believe using any major sporting event to push a particular agenda has no place in professional sports. If players want to voice their grievances, fine, do it off the field or run for office. Call me old fashioned, but aren't players being paid to just play the game to the best of their ability?

That all changed when they started letting "The inmates run the asylum".
 
Many professional athletes do countless charitable work and are otherwise decent Americans.
Whatever their political,views on racism, events facing our country today, my feeling is it’s in bad taste and sends the wrong message when they cannot show common respect for this country.
I personally feel politics have no place in professional sports
But then again disrespect for our democracy is limited to pro athletes either
