Someone said "Can we put the motor in the front seat...I said let's try it..."mtr frt seat.JPG I did this engine setback starting at 5pm Friday evening and finished at 8am Monday morning. (the local chrysler dealer let me use their shop over the weekend. The job included setting the motor back 26", fabbing the motor mounts, transmission mounts and front shock mounts, cleaning off the front frame rails and installing a tube front axle (with '40 Ford front spindles) with leaf springs, and hooking up the steering, etc, etc.
Ready to go.jpg The Hilborn Fuel Injection and Vertex Mag came a little later in the summer.

I love history. Especially coming from the people who made it. What is the story of those Headers?

Please post all the photos you want, the step by step evolution of drag racing is interesting.

The headers were what was called Ramcharger Mark 4 headers. The Ramchargers made 4 sets of them. I bought this set off of Al Eckstrand who had them on his car called "The Lawman" I bought them around 1966 after all of those guys went to the Hemi cars.
