Hello,

I have been into these cars for quite some time, just never a member of this site! I am doing things backwards in my old age. I am building a 1958 392 Hemi and then I am going to find a 68-70 B-body to put it into. The Hemi will be an Off-set stroker when it's done, round 468 cubes. Looking for help from anyone who has put a 1st Gen Hemi into one of these cars as far as what K-frame, engine mounts etc. Thanks in advance for the help!!

As our Esteemed Forum Member and Champion "Poster" Budnicks pointed out: Schumacher Solid Mounts
I did it on my 70 Superbee (Recently pulled the engine out) with a 426 Hemi, but not early
But yeah!
If they make them they should work great.
They are SOLID mounts and raise your engine up perhaps 3/4" but they are great in my book.
Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the Forum!
PICS!!!
please?

Here’s another NJ welcome @Paul Stewart !

I am gathering all the parts at this point. My block, heads and crankshaft are at the shop now. They just got done offset grinding the crank to accept BBC rods and my custom piston order is in. Eagle CRS 7.1 rods. 1955 331 heads, which were the best flowing of the early hemi's are being ported and the larger valves installed. Lots of work but far less money than a Gen II motor! I am converting a set of plain 354 truck valve covers to look like the gen II's with the Weiand 2 x 4 intake and custom AC base plate. I will start posting pictures once things start coming together!!

Good luck with your project.
Would definitely be a different way of building a street rod.
Welcome from Mo

Welcome from Alabama, sounds like a interesting project.

Welcome aboard. Lots of fun and interesting reads . Your project sounds like fun. Maybe you can post info on that early hemi as the build progresses.

I don't know a lot about the ollllld hemi's, but I do know one thing:
They're heavier than hell!

Interesting project.
I don't really understand putting a 392 in a b body especially with 426 hemi's being not much more expensive to build.
:poke:
I'll definitely follow the build though.

If I had a 392 hemi it'd go in a 63-66 A body not a 68-70 b body :realcrazy:
