Satellite speedometer problems

My speedometer on my 73 ssp is not working, line is hooked up and looks fine any suggestions?

Did you check to see if the inner cable is not broken?

Check the plastic ferrule that clips on the speedometer head, this has a small plastic clip and can come loose. Check lower end at trans, unscrew from trans and spin the cable see if speedometer moves. Do you have factory mechanical cruise control? If so there are 2 cables, easier to check upper from there.

Has the speedo gear (on the trans) been pulled out at anytime? It may not be clocked correctly and not meshing at all.

This happen to me because i replaced the seal as it was leaking. I did not clock it correctly when putting it back in and the speedometer didn't work.
