70 ignition switch questions

Does anyone know if a 70 column shift ignition switch will work in a 70 floor shift column? My charger didn’t have a switch in it when I got it, but I do have an extra column shift steering column with one in it. If so do you remove the gear selector wire from it? Thanks and I appreciate any help.

Yes.
Most of the internal parts are the same.

All 70/76 ign switches are the same for non tilt steering columns with minor variations/exceptions
