MASSIVE Vacuum Leak

I actually picked up a Mr. Gasket rebuild it for $3 at the local Autozone. As much as I dislike them, couldn't pass up the deal. Had $20 rewards and it was like 60% off. My go to is usually O'reillys and they have a solid wall of Holley parts. I put new O rings on the transfer tube and no leaks. Now my car is out of gas:lol: Have to fill up the gas can.

or you could just bolt on an edelbrock and fuggetaboutit

If the Mr G kit uses cork gaskets for the bowls/ metering block/ bowl screws, you should do your self a favor and toss it.

Should be good to go. Those are better than the standard brown Holley units which can sometimes stick and be fun to get pieces off.

So here’s my problem now, idles right around what I’d want, but this happens-
1969 Satellite

What adjustment would that be? Timing?

Failed accelerator pump? Usually a quick jab of the throttle with a healthy carburetor results in a momentary dip then an rpm increase. If it stalls, I suspect that the carburetor isn't getting the needed extra fuel from the accelerator pump. An air/fuel gauge would show a high lean reading as it stalls.

Since it looks like its frosty back there, maybe let it warm up more. Also the accelerator pump may need some adjustment.

Yeah I got it going, couple adjustments here and there. Let me just say that I really need to get going on that 383 LOL. I then proceeded to get it stuck on a snow bank so that'll be fun.
