70 CHARGERS LETS SEE THEM

Tomorrow, I hope to go on a drive with a friend who just got his '70 on the road again.

I also recently made acquaintance with another local '70 owner, pictures later...

My '70 500 survivor. I've owned it almost a week now - been looking for one all my life. Mom had a triple-green '70 500 she bought new; my cousin wrecked it in '75. Been looking for one ever since. Mom's was EF8 dark green; mine was built FF4 light green but has had one repaint for some reason (all the panels appear original and solid, and all have FF4 underneath, so I have no idea....). FL car all its life, now living here in Maryland. 318/904/8-1/4" SG. Pretty well optioned. Runs, drives, stops, turns, it'll be a fun toy. I'll probably just keep it as-is - no restoration planned at this point. They're only original once! Body is rock-solid. 3/4 of the floor is rock-solid - found out today (the hard way) that the floor behind the driver seat (the back seat footwell) is rotted. And I knew when I got it, that the center of the trunk pan is rotted (over the fuel tank) - but the quarters, extensions, rockers, and all exterior panels are rust-free.

That's really cool. How did you go about getting the center spokes coated with the special color?

I painted them with VHT high temp burnt copper engine paint, and clear coated them with Dupli Colors gloss durable dust resistant clear wheel coating. The car will have burnt orange interior,so I think they will go perfect with it.

I thought I’d share the pics of the one that started the love for me ... yes it’s listed as MIA on the forum, would love to find it, 170626 last of the VIN. My 70RT is tucked away for now... patiently waiting.

I saw this one at a car show in 2019. I even captured a local celebrity in pic number 3. @Sonny Black
