New tires for the 73' Roadrunner, am I missing any good ones.

So what are you running on your GTX?

I'm frustrated with the whole wheel/tire thing. I cannot find any repro Rallye wheels to buy. Coker and Wheel Vintiques have none available in 15x7 (Rallye or steel wheels). Polished or brushed trim rings are not available, only cheap, cheap chome plated rings.

I'm having trouble finding a set of 4 vintage wheels that don't have damage or worn out lug holes. The local "Wheel Repair" shops I've contact say they DO NOT fix steel wheels, they only can fix dents in Alloy/Aluminum wheels..

I'm coming to the conclusion that I should get Kelsey Repro Goodyear Polyglas to put on my existing 14x6 Rallye wheels (with their dented wheel center holes) or just get rid of the car.. ****, I can't even find new direct fit Cragar S/S to buy!!
If you want steel wheels, try us wheel. They make 15" and 17" steelies for the nine inch caps, series 658. They also do rallyes in 14" and 15" series 667.

I want Rallye.. I haven't heard anything good about US Wheel.. They seem to be the only company that has repro Rallye 15x7 currently available (maybe that is because they suck and nobody wants to buy them).

Coker and Wheel Vintiques have none available and no estimate of when. Coker told me it would be a 3 month wait back in October. Coker told me the same thing, 3+ months, just a couple weeks ago in January.. So their 3 months has turned into 6+ months. Both Coker and Vintique said they are waiting on materials to construct the outer rim hoops. They have the centers, but not what they need to make the hoops. The hold up is apparently due to the China virus.. They said this holding up Steel Wheel production also.

Back a few years ago when Coker started making the T/A, there were actually two different lines with very subtle differences in the name. One was "still" made by BFG, the other was the Coker repros. There was also a very slight difference in price, and very few distributors stocked both lines, but I found one to do direct comparisons. Also not all sizes were offered in both lines.

I have 15" Magnum 500's on BFG's; I bought the car with those on Fred a decade ago.
I need to replace the tires simply because of age, but they don't even have 1000 miles on 'em...
"Everyone and their brother sells the repro chrome steel Magnums"
"The tire situation is pretty dire for me, though."

I, too, faced the same problem.. I had 14" Magnums on my Charger. Currently, I want to keep the "old school" white wall look. Finding new 225/R75 14" white wall tires has become impossible, so I wanted to upsize to 15" wheels, BUT I also wanted to keep the smooth trim ring look. I ended up with 1 piece alloy wheels manufactured by Dynacorn which gave me the exact look I wanted, and they also filled up/out the wheel wells for a more aggressive stance. Hankook seems to be the manufacturer of choice for larger white walls. At some point, I'm going to want T/A's, so this info was very helpful! Pictures of the old vs new wheels are posted (I've yet to upgrade my avatar w/ showing the new wheels mounted) :)

It looks like these Dynacorn wheels are marketed as Ford Mustang wheels, and are made in China. I guess the current new Cragar S/S wheels are made in China also.

Being that they are available in 15x7 makes them a possibility for my car.. I’m interested to hear more feedback from you once you get them mounted on the car and start driving it. If you already have them mounted please upload some photos of the whole car. I see they are also available in 15x8 size. These wheels could be a stop-gap for me until I can obtain 15x7 Rallye wheels and trim rings.

Did you get the 15x7 size? What size are those Hankook white wall tires?

Give this guy a call. He advertises direct fit Cragar SS and he has trim rings. Don't know if they are polished or chrome. Worth a shot. He's a nice guy to talk to. He holds a big Car Show in the fall of the year near Sacramento/Stockton/ Modesto area in CA. http://www.petepaulsen.com/home.html

Yes, I decided 15 x7 would be good, and wouldn't alter the speedo readings. I've been driving on them, and they look and feel great! I'm also getting lost of compliments on how they make the car look. The Hankooks are 225/R75 15". I plan to get some pics as soon as this "Arctic Blast" ends!!

Not ideal, but here are some pictures of the car w/ wheels installed... :)
