Good replacement cam for stock 440

I have bought the 6401 how are Edelbrock RPM heads springs, do I need to replace them?

Couldn't tell you. I would take a few to an engine builder and have them checked if they're used. If they are new Edelbrock should have the info. Good luck:thumbsup:

I've also used the summit 6401 in a 9.4 440 in a friend's Challenger. Runs very nice, lots of torque. Easily burns the tires with a stock 12 inch low stall converter. Just get good lifters and some new valve springs.

Call Bob Karakasian, aka Mr Six Pack. He has his his own line of cams that are nice, great guy to work with and offers a lot of free advice with guidance! He is a legend! Also a great friend of our dearly departed Tom Hoover, that taught Bob a lot..
Do you by chance have his contact info? I’m looking at doing the same.
