How goes the battle

Last weekend I just knew I was going to make lots of progress but instead I got sidetracked by the WWF. Not the World Wrestling Federation but by the Wife, Work & Family. I have proclaimed this upcoming weekend as "MINE" and so I guess we'll see how that works out for me.
 
So ... its been awhile since I posted in this thread. I decided to take a day off and beat beat my floor panel tunnel into submission with a little help from some clecos. Now the welding can begin in earnest.

Is anyone else with a 64 B-body having an issue finding the correct upper & lower control arm bump stops? Mine are worn out, cracked and probably 57 years old. I can find all kinds of the for 68 & up but nothing specifically listed for the 64.
 
Never trust the packaging on parts ... a few years ago I ordered and received tie rods for my Polara (2) - ES319L & (2) ES319R.

I set them on the shelf and last weekend I finally opened the boxes. Imagine my surprise that I found that I have 3 right hand thread and 1 left hand thread.

So I ordered another "L" and received another right hand thread tie rod in an "L" box.

WTF??????
 
Where did you order those pats Jim? Might be worth a call although they aren't really expensive. Maybe you need to order a R to get a L.......I kid, I kid. :)
 
Thanks Mark ... I ordered the latest "L" from Amazon ... it's being returned and a new one is due to arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I have one extra "R" is you need it.
 
I got the front fenders bolted back on. In my bag labeled "fender hardware" was some hardware that I don't remember where it goes. I have a picture attached ... any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The studs and nuts hold the bottom leg of the fender the large washer screws are for the dust shield rear of fender.
 
It's been a long *** time since I posted anything and I need some advise. The wife is fed up with the rear window being along side the house and wants it installed. I'm at a point where I can put it in the car but it's been a long time since I've done one.

I know I need to get at least the rear of the headliner in place and probably need to make sure all the trim clips are installed correctly. I'm planning to use the rope method but can't remember if I need to use a bedding compound in the gasket or try and squirt in RTV once it installed. Any advise / suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Wow still working on this car!! I would put the 3m bedding along the bottom and halfway up the sides on the metal fence then put bedding in the gasket mount on window and install with the rope method. The service manual has the instructions you can download on my Mopar site.
 
I would add it in the gasket channel and save yourself some heartache. It's easy enough to clean after install. Service manual should show where the bedding needs to go along the frame. Definately along the bottom and up the sides.
 
Apparently I've grown "mostly" forgetful since I retired. Does anyone have a picture of an installed front brake distribution block. I can't remember how it attaches to the frame rail.
 
This is a single line distribution block on my 62. Hope it helps or is similar.

OK ... I guess I'm being stupid.

A long time ago I changed the front brakes from drum to disc using 74 A-body parts. Everything installed just fine. Today I decided to hook up the flexible brake lines to the caliper & brake lines and it's obviously not correct. No matter which way I attach the flexible hose to the caliper it's just wrong or I can't get the banjo bolt threaded. This is the only way I can get the banjo to thread but I know it's not right.
