I've had this car for 23 years. I've had the back seat out multiple times and never had a problem. I took it out while I was painting the car last summer, and now all of a sudden; I can't get it back in. It's like the seat is too wide for the body! WTF? Does anyone have any tips for getting the back seat in?

Slide it in evenly, as low as possible...angle the back edge down towards to carpet, along the backs of the front seats and slide it in that way

I feel like a rocket scientist now. I figured it out. Front seats all the way forward, then put the rear seat bottom all the way down and slide back. Ugh!

One thing I can recommend is slide the bottom in with it level

Yea there you go that’s what I typed in above

If any of you lift one side of the seat like the first photo, there is a great risk to destroy your rear side panel with the hog rings on the seat bottom.

don’t do it that way!
